Curtiss-Wright Announces Significant Progress Made in the Construction of the Steam And Air Solutions (SAS) Facility In Summerville, S.C.

CHESWICK, P.A. – September 16, 2019 – Curtiss-Wright’s EMS division today announced that significant progress has been made on Steam and Air Solutions’ (SAS) new facility and it remains on schedule to open by the end of 2019. Construction of the new plant reached a noteworthy milestone by revealing the Curtiss-Wright logo on the state-of-the-art facility located in Summerville, S.C.
SAS supports the design, manufacture, test, and shipment of Navy steam turbines and steam valves, nuclear steam turbines, aftermarket steam parts, upgrades, and overhauls. The new facility, located in the Charleston Trade Center, will enable SAS to strengthen its presence as a leading designer and manufacturer of mission-essential, high-speed rotating equipment for U.S. Navy vessels.
