Deck Track for Secure and Movement of Helicopters on Naval Vessels
Curtiss-Wright's Indal deck track provides a lightweight, secure foundation for movements of helicopters using either the Indal RAST or ASIST helicopter handling systems. The stainless steel, extruded track requires no maintenance and can reduce installation time by more than 50% over more conventional installations. Weight is minimal at less than 130 pounds per foot and the track is strong enough to withstand ship primary hull stresses, meaning that it can act as a longitudinal beam in design, thereby reducing installed weight still further.
Track can be provided to suit any deck configuration and can be installed at the module-build stage or after hull launch.
