Curtiss-Wright Signs Teaming Agreement with Hanwha Ocean of Korea for Long-Term Cooperation on the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project

CHESWICK, P.A. – May 30, 2024 – Curtiss-Wright’s EMS division today announced that its INDAL business has signed a Teaming Agreement and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Hanwha Ocean of Korea for long-term cooperation on the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project for Towed Array Handling and Winch Systems to support KSS-III submarines.

Curtiss-Wright INDAL has supplied the Towed Array Handling Systems to the KSS-III submarine, one of the most capable ocean-going, diesel-electric platforms, to the Republic of Korea Navy since 2021. KSS-III is an in-service platform that meets all the Royal Canadian Navy’s operational requirements and the urgent delivery timeline for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project.

Curtiss-Wright’s INDAL business unit, part of the EMS division, will perform the work at its facility based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
